Inspired after the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, Jr. To date, there have been so many police killings of Blacks that the art seems outdated. The classic, “Black Sambo,” faces on the horses is the interpretation of how some view blacks. The title is a derivation of the title of a 1969 movie entitled, “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?” The film is about a woman who is betrayed and feels her life is hopeless. Parallel similarities.
They Shoot Negros, Don’t They.”
